My debut novel will be published in 2024!

My debut novel will be published in 2024 by the brilliant Westland team. I think I’m going to frame this announcement post!

I have been obsessed with writing since school. My first poem was published in Young Times, UAE as a teen. It was in school that I thought I must write a novel about Indian migrants in the Gulf because I didn't see these stories in the books I came across. Even now, there are very few stories about South Asians in the Middle East, especially in Anglophone writing.

Over the years, I've published essays, stories, poems, and a chapbook inspired by living in the Gulf.

This is my first novel. I guess I have been waiting for this announcement all my life. After years of abandoning manuscripts, this novel came together after a lot of anxious sleepless nights, multiple drafts, tears, and laughter. Thanks to everyone who has made this dream possible. You know who you are.
